Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) The RC&D program is a nationwide
program of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service. RC&D is a unique
program that helps people care for and protect their natural resources in a way
that improves our economy, environment, and way of life. About 1400 projects
are undertaken nationally by RC&D Councils each year. Each Council sets its own
priorities and is directed by a group of local volunteers.
The Big Springs RC&D was created to provide an avenue for people to work
together to develop and carry out an action-oriented plan for the social,
economic and environmental betterment of the area.
