When you sign on as an Earth Team Volunteer, you are on your way to becoming a caretaker of natural resources in your community. When you volunteer you will work with improving wildlife habitat, conservation education, community outreach and many more interesting opportunities.
The Big Springs RC&D won the Midwest Regional RC&D Earth Team Award for fiscal year 2001. This award recognizes one RC&D Council in each NRCS region and is presented to the most effective Earth Team that demonstrates shared leadership among RC&D Council Members, NRCS employees and Earth Team Volunteers. WHO CAN VOLUNTEER?
You must be 14 years of age or older, you can work part time or full time, evenings or weekends, outdoors or indoors or at a local office.
